On Saturday the 21st of June we played Takapuna Grammar at rugby at home. The score was 24-17. The try scorers were Woody, Taylor, Trent, ME. The other team was pretty aggressive and were ill-disciplined.The first try was scored by Trent our fullback, when our Corby put in a chip behind there try line and The starting lineup was:

Cheese Cake

Mmmmmmmm....... don't you just love cheese cake it is the best dessert ever made. Why you’re thinking? Well, firstly they just look amazing don’t they, if you don’t believe me look at this photo I’ve got (it just makes you drool doesn’t it). Secondly there are like hundreds of different types of cheesecake e.g. Vanilla, Strawberry, Blueberry and Chocolate and that’s just to name a few. Also there are loads of different styles of cheesecake; every country makes it different but just as good. Like you have American, Canadian, French, British and Australasian, Italian and Greek and there is more than that. Finally you have the amazing taste and texture; first you have the bottom layer of crouched biscuit which you can taste but not too much. Then you have the cream cheese part which is the main bit of it and gives it its texture and finally the topping which gives its flavor and just makes it amazing.

Rugby : WGP Vs Long Bay

On the 14th of June we played Long Bay College in rugby at home. This was our first win and the score was 26-15 to us of ofcorse because we won. Try scores were JT who scored the first try I set it up by drivig 13m to the line and Jt drived for the line and scored.Then Taylor who ran hard at the defence all day, he scored when the forwards drove had from the half way line to inside the 22 and he drove 8m to get over the line. Corby then got to 2 trys the frist in the second half , I set it up by driving it 10m to the line and then we got a 5m scrum (I don't now why) and JT just passed ot to Corby on the blind side and Corby walked in. His second try came again in the second when Trent put a great kick in and our teams great chasing, made ther Full Back mess up and the ball came to Corby who divided over the line I played really well. Long Bay had a consolation try through very weak defence from our team. I nearly scored two tries but I was short of about 20 cm on each occasion. The refereeing in this game was quite good. And he didn't feel intimidated to use his cards which we found out when he sent the opposition openside flanker off the field. Vinay also stepped a guy.

The Future of Whangaparaoa

As I accelerated down the highway at 350km/h (well under the speed limit) in my new, flash Lamborghini X 3000. I saw the turning to my old neighbourhood Whangaparaoa so I decided to check it out. At first not much had seemed to change but that all changed when I drove past my old Rugby Club Silverdale. It wasn’t just a bunch of old rugby field anymore; it was now this big stadium which could hold over 20,000 people. So I decided to pull in and check it out. As I walked in I saw people training and straight away I noticed someone, it was Vinay Reddy so I went and had a chat with him. He said that Silverdale was now in the Super 30. I didn’t have much time to chat after that. So then I was off to the next place which was Whangaparaoa Plaza.
As I drove down Whangaparaoa Road there was another shock as all the shops on the road had been knocked down and now they were all Bungalows. Rows and rows of bungalows they seemed to go on forever but I realised that why they had been knocked down when I got further up the road and saw this huge building then I noticed that it was the Plaza just a lot bigger. 8 storeys high bigger, so I pulled in to check it out. As I walked in it said worlds biggest mall, I could not believe it Whangaparaoa Plaza the world’s biggest mall! and it had everything shops from all round the world K-Mart, Asda, H&M, Abercrombie and Fitch and loads more.

While I was shopping I saw someone else I had grown up with, Michael Broughton and he was with a load of supermodels and wearing some sweet clothes. I started to talk with him and he told me he owned this mall, also that he was a billionaire I just couldn’t believe it. So after I spent my fair share in money at the mall, I headed down to check out WGP College (my old school). As I parked up my car in the visitor’s car park I saw that nothing had changed and I as I walked round nothing at all had changed I thought with everything else but no nothing at the school had changed. So there was one last thing to check out my old road and well that was the worst it was not even there, it had been knocked down for an express highway. So as I turned on to the highway I thought about how much had change in so little time.

Day8: Universal

It was a Thursday and we were up at 8, by 8:40 everyone had eaten and getting ready to leave. We left at 9:20 and got there for 9:55 and we entered the park after parking the car. The first rid we went on was the amazing Simpsons Rid it was amazing, it was only a virtual rid but it felt sooooooooooooooo real. We left that and joined the line for Studio Tour which was a 40min rid around some sets and other stuff, the rid was worth doing. We then left and got some lunch and then headed to watch the water world show it was a great show lots of action and they drenched you with water. Other rides we did after that was the house of horror that was scary because they had live people who didn't touch you but would jump out and go inches away from you. Then the Rollercoaster Mummy rid, Jurassic park water rid and a fire show. We did more after but they were the really good ones and my favorite was The Jurassic Water rid. After we ate dinner at the park and then we left to watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Cristal Skull at 8:30, I thought it was a great film and recommend everyone to see it but I LOVE all of the 4 films. Well that was another great day.

Day7: LA

So on this it’s was my mums birthday, we got up early and drove to the airport were Dad dropped the car of and Me and Mum checked us in but what we found out is that we were in the wrong airport. So we were panicking BIG time but lucky the nice check in lady got on a flight from that airport. So after that shock we went an boarded our plane, the fight was 6 hours but it was ok. When we FINALLY arrived we went straight though because in was an internal flight so there was no customs. When we got our bags we went and met my sister and her friend Sam who we were staying with for our 5 days in LA. Then we got in this massive Cadillac and went to Sam’s and there we gave my Mum and there birthday cake (my dad as well because we missed his birthday). The cake had there faces on it as well which was super funny, we got photos and sent it to the cake company and they put it on. After there cake we headed out to thing restaurant and it meant to be 21 over only but Sam new someone who put in a good word so I got in it was sweet. The place was a sushi place and the food was good. Well after that we went to bed.

Day6: Golf

I had to be up 7 today it sucked cause I was sooooooooo tried. But I was up and ready for our pick uo by Dads friend an he took me and Dad to golf it was about a 40 min drive where we met the other person who was going to playing us it was Me, my Dad, Joe (Dads friend) and Jim (Joes friend). To start with no one was ready playing well but we weren't playing badly either. But at the 9th we had a little problem I was driving the golf cart when we went round a really tight bend and we bumped and I hit the exclerator and we drove into a wall and it wrote of the cart. But we got a new one and carryed on, Joe started to get his game on and endded uo kick our butts. We then had to go and meet my Aunti at Tysons Corner because my dad wanted to see her. We were with her for 30min till she had to leave, then my Mum got back from dropping James at the airport and took us back to our friends house. About 10min later we had to start to shower and get ready for our BBQ at the Brides house. We had to be there for 6 but the traffic was so bad that we didn't get there till 6:35 but it was ok. The BBQ was amazing they had so many meats it was so nice, plus we got to finsh off the wedding cake. After dinner we went outside and played a game called ringtose but its to hard to explane anyway I played 7 games and won them all. I was annoying because we had to leave early to see our friends before we left in the morning early to LA.

Day5: Baseball

It was the day after the wedding and we were up some how at 9. We went down and had breakfast, then back up to the room to pack because we were leaving the hotel to stay at a friends house for the next two nights. So we packed the car with the bags and said good bye to my other cousin Johnathon and his girlfriend Jo. Then my Mum took our bags to the friends house but me, James and Dad cought the metro to a baseball game the Milwakey Brewers Vs the Washington Nationals. It started of really fast with the Nationas hitting a home run in the first inning, then scorring another but then it was dull until the 6th were Brewers got 2 run stright. Next in the 7th they got another run so they score was 3-2 to the Brewers. So the Nationals were in the 8th and they had to score and they did they got there run and took it to extra innings. And the game went to the 12th inning until the Brewers scored and endded the game. We then got the metro back and then picked up by my Mum. We went back to our friends and their daughter was there with their Grandaughter called Sky she was only like 18 months and so cute and all she wanted to is sit on my lap and wear my hat. They were only there for an hour but it was cool. We stayed in for dinner that night and had some amazing steak. And again we didn't get to bed till 11:30.

Day4: The Wedding

This day I was actually got up early and got to breakfast with everyone else. It was the day of the wedding so we need to go to Tysons Corner and pick up my tuxedo and do a bit of shopping as well. I didn't get anything but my Dad got some new shoes and James got a new belt. We then went back to the hotel because James was an Usher at the wedding so he had to be ready for 3, although we had to be ready for 4 we didn't get ready for a while. But when we were finally all ready we went and got a large taxi to the wedding (even though it was only 3min down the road). We were there for 4 but the wedding was until 5 but we had to be there for family photos. The wedding ceremony was about 45 min long it was actually not that boring there is loads more things to do than you see on TV but thats what I thought. When it was over we left for the reception the wedding party had more photos so they came later but everyone was drinking because it was a free bar till 10 (so 5 hours free drinking) that was all drinks. For the first hour it was just drinks, then we went up stairs and had dinner. For dinner it was a buffet but it sooooooooooooooooooo nice I could of eaten it all day but before that the brides Father (Kemper) made a hilarious speech everyone laughed at. Then there were a few more like my Uncles and Nicks then we went down stairs for the first dance. Then they cut the cake and it was amazing I loved it. Just after people had had enough to drink to dance and not be embarrassed. The so everyone was enjoying them selfs. It was about half an hour from then is when the best man Chris did his speak and there was a big bet going round how long it would be it was only 1 dollar in, but like 40 people put money in. Well my Uncle Graham won it, it was like 50 Dollars. Ready after that the bar closed like 20min later and everyone was just drunk an dancing it was cool. But the funny thing was that Nick the Groom didn't drink so he was like the only sober one there. Nothing else really happen we just got a rid with someone back to the hotel had everyone drank some more there until 1 and my sister and other went into town.

Day3: Bride and Groom

Well this was the day before the wedding and we didn't have much planed, to start I wasn't up till 11 and so was my brother. So we both just made it to breakfast, we got down there and everyone else was off. My dad was early to take people o a tour of Washington because he new the way round form when we lived there and all the girl were getting there nails gone and going to the Bridal shower. And again the weather was sweet. Like I said me and James didn't get up till 11 then, after breakfast we went were in the room for an hour and a half we then went to see what the Groom (my cousin Nick) was up to. He was in his room with the best man (Chris) and a Groomsman (Rob). They were planning on go to the Bridal shower to get a light hair cut from my mum (because she was a hair dresser) and then doing something like the bowling or cinema. So we headed off in a taxi that was me, James, Chris and Rob and Nick was driving some other people to come with us. They weren't there for another 25min after we got to the bridal shower. So while we were there we met Justin an usher at the party and Erica (the brides) brother and her Granddad, her Grandma and her two Uncles. They were really nice and the funny thing was because the bridal shower was on all the guys were kicked outback. So when Nick finally arrived and had his hair cut there was no point in going anywhere so we stayed there all afternoon and ended up playing a wicked game called ring toss it to hard to explain but it was cool. Like 4 hours later every one had to be back at the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal dinner that was only the wedding party so we didn't go but we went out with everyone else who was left and went out to dinner at a Steak House which was awesome. We got back at like 12 that night again and my sister went into town and met up with my brother had other who went out that night.
